brooklyn’s botanical gardens next to prospect park. ah… look at the little turtles having tantric sex

after way too long, here’s a couple of photos from a sunny afternoon in prospect park, brooklyn

two and a half months and i finally get to fly out to nyc to see lisa. here are some pics of a night out with her friends and my old flatmate gabe, some arty farty b&ws of the city and a picture of the other half.

i was enormously disappointed that the guggenheim was surrounded by scaffolding, but the interior more than made up for it with the amazing architecture that the building is of course famous for. the main exhibit is an architect itself, zaha hadid which was extremely impressive.

the rebuilt moma building is fantastic. the huge open spaces make excellent galleries and they’re really well used. i spent more time looking at the building than the exhibits though

being museums, they of course have very strict rules on photography so no flash in moma and no camera above the ground floor in the guggenheim

expect these pictures to be replaced soon by more post-processed versions to get rid of all the noise and make the colors a bit more uniform…
